Solomon Serwanjja
Executive Director
Solomon Serwanjja is the Executive Director of the African Institute for Investigative Journalism. He is also a celebrated broadcast investigative journalist with 12 years of experience. Mr. Serwanjja has worked in several newsroom including NBS, NTV, KTN, UBC as an investigative Journalist reporting ground breaking investigations that have contributed to public discourse and social change. He is the winner of the 2019 BBC Komlar Dumor award, a prestigious award given to an outstanding journalist on the African continent.

Raymond Mujuni
Deputy Executive Director
Mujuni Raymond is an investigative journalist in East Africa currently working with Nation Media Group as an Editor and show Host for the Fourth Estate program.
Raymond is a two time winner of the National Journalism Award for explanatory reporting and Investigative Reporting for his stories that exposed a high end government to government deal for the exchange of refugees for guns between Uganda and Israel. Raymond is a multimedia journalist with apt skills in using innovative ways to tell stories.

Rahim Nwali
Associate Digital Communications
Rahim Nwali is a student at St. Lawrence University pursuing his bachelors in Mass Communication. Nwali is a solution based journalist in the making who is passionate about telling the African story to create a positive impact on the African continent. He is a Media challenge initiative fellow, SRHR fellow with AIIJ.

Sandra Nansubuga
Procurement and Admin manager.
Sandra is a Procurement and Admin associate with the African Institute for Investigative Journalism. She works closely with the leads to identify new sources of revenue; and also Keeps I-Room’s financial health afloat; she is also charged with planning and monitoring iRoom scope, iRoom team, iRoom resources also overseeing iRoom cash flow, financial reporting, and expenses.

Talent Akatukunda
Finance and Admin
Talent is a passionate finance and accounts practitioner with a solid experience in accounting and finance. Her passion and belief is in a world that is inclusive and better for everyone. She is a Finance Associate at AIIJ to which she brings more experience in finance and administration.

Stuart Tibaweswa
Associate Documentary Photographer
Stuart is a Ugandan documentary photographer based in Kampala. His work, which often focuses on marginalised communities and their relationship to wider society, encourages understanding as well as bearing witness.
